Alex J. Padilla

Alex J. Padilla, age 83, a resident of Fairview, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015. Alex was preceded in death by his parents, Donicio and Celena Padilla; brothers, Bill and Cipriano Padilla and Manuel Martinez. Mr. Padilla was a professional court reporter and was one of the founders for Court Reporting Certification for New Mexico. Alex served his country in the United States Air Force. Alex is survived by his wife, Priscilla (Pia) Padilla; daughter, Trish Padilla; sister, Lelia Quintana and husband Floyd; sister in law, Marty Padilla; and brother in law, Cundy Jimenez and wife Shirley as well as numerous other nieces, nephews and loving relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada, with a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Santa Fe or Espanola Humane Society. The family of Alex J. Padilla has entrusted the care of their beloved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory of the Espanola Valley.\r\n
