ALEJANDRO ALEX LOVATO, 93,  a resident of Los Alamos passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Abelina (Lita) Lovato; son, Alex Lovato Jr. , daughter, Roberta Lovato; brothers, Emilio, Roberto, Ray, Pat and Flavio Lovato, sisters, Rosa and Eloisa Lovato. Alejandro worked for Civilian Conservation Camp from 1940 – 1942 and Los Alamos National Laboratory from 1951 – 1975. He also served in the U.S. Airforce from 1942 – 1946. He was a family man with a kind soul and loved to go for walks, Alejandro could walk for miles. He had a good sense of humor, he liked to tell jokes and make people laugh. Alejandro will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Alejandro is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Ann Valdez, Rito Jo Romero (Gilbert “Leroy”), son, Rudy Lovato (Madeline), Elias Lovato; grandkids, Debbie Roybal (Bryant), Norma Escobedo (Adrian), Mark Valdez, and Maranda Lovato, great-grandkids, Vanna, Shayna, Devon, Jaden, Dominic, Shaylissa, great-great-grandkids, Aliyah and Tristan, and numerous other relatives and friends. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pojoaque.
