Alejandrina - age 89 - Guachupangue Martinez

Alejandrina Martinez, 89, a lifelong resident of Guachupangue, passed away from a lengthy illness on Wednesday, September 18, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband; Erminio F. Martinez, infant son; David Martinez, parents; Carmelita and Antonio Jesus, In-laws; Guadalupe and Louisita Martinez, and numerous loved ones. Alejandrina is survived by her children; Carmen Martinez and husband Rudy of Santa Cruz, Rose Musick of La Mesilla, Dolores Gallegos and husband James of Española, MaryAgnes Valdez and husband Felix of Velarde, Angela Esquibel and husband Henry of Las Vegas, Nevada, Tony Martinez and wife Denise of Española, and Pat Jaramillo and husband Paul of White Rock, 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Monday, September 23, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a wake service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Espanola, with a burial to follow at 12:45 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Martinez, Joshua Gomez, Patrick Jaramillo, James Gallegos, Jr., Valentin Esquibel, John Musick, and David Martinez. The family of Alejandrina Martinez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
