Agnes Maga

AGNES (PAVLICH) MAGA, 93, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 6, 2016. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joe in 1976 by parents Matilda and Charles Pavlich, sister Betty Jo Pavlich, brothers Joe Pavlich and David Pavlich.  Agnes was born on August 22, 1922 in Brilliant, NM where she was raised until moving to Raton, NM. There she met and eventually married Joe Maga. The couple relocated to Española in 1955 where they raised their family. Agnes was devoted to the Blessed Mother. She dearly loved her family, her children and grandchildren and touched the lives of many. Agnes is survived by her daughters, Pat and Pam; son-in-law, Martin Koby; grandchildren, Joseph and Lindsay; sisters, Phyllis Pavlich and Mary Lou Pavlich of Raton, Kathy Roybal of Albuquerque, brother, James (Pat Pavlich) of Bay City, TX. sisters-in-law Millie Pavlich of Montrose, CO and Betty Pavlich of Houston, TX  The family wishes to offer special thanks to caregivers Ida Madrid, Martha Zarate, and Dora Pacheco who provided kind outstanding assistance to Agnes. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Raton, New Mexico.  The family of Agnes Maga has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley. 505-747-7477 – www.devargasfuneral.com
