On Monday, January 12, 2015 our beloved hita, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and little comadre, Adrina “Nini” Salazar passed away suddenly and went home to be with Jesus in heaven. Although she was only with us for 4 short years, her beautiful and radiant spirit taught each one of us so much about life and how to love fearlessly and wholeheartedly, lessons that will last a lifetime. The heart is never prepared for a loss such as this and though there is much grief and sadness, we take comfort in knowing in our hearts that our precious “Nini” is in the glorious presence of our Lord and with our loved ones and friends who have passed before her. Because of this promise, we celebrate her life and we strive to live ours as she did. Bold, fearless, rambunctious and clothed with selfless love. Only through souls as precious as yours “Nini” does God give a glimpse of an angel's purity. She is survived by her mother, Katrina Salazar; father, Johnny Salazar; sister, Monroe Martinez; grandmother, Pamela Madrid (Randy Martinez); grandfather, Johnny Salazar, Sr. (Josie); paternal great-grandmother, Ana Gonzales; uncles, Antonio Maestas and David Quintana; aunts, Gabriella Dasheno (Walt) and Selena Salazar; uncle/Godfather, Ruben Salazar; God-mother, Margaret Montoya; honorary grandmother, Juliet Salazar.
