Adolfa Lucero
May 25, 1935 — January 11, 2019
Adolfa Lucero, 83, a lifelong resident of Lyden, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 peacefully at home with her beloved pet Tinkerbell by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband Ignacio Lucero; parents Jose and Lucia Sena; brothers Ralph Sena and Vicente Montoya Jr. Adolfa; sister Rosie Quintana.
Adolfa loved going and spending time at all of the Rio Arriba Senior Centers where she made many friends. She was involved in the senior Olympics and loved crocheting, beadwork and making jewelry.
She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Mrs. Lucero is survived by her special beloved grandson Daniel Lopez and companion Loni Martinez; daughters Regina Tapia and Josie Archuleta and husband Robert; sisters Marie Ortega, Lorraine Lovato and husband Edson, Rosie Littlefield, Mary Grace Lopez and husband Mac, and Lucy Russell; brother Jerry Montoya and wife Lou Anna; plus many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a burial to follow at 12:45 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. A reception will follow the burial at the Alcalde Community Center located at County Road 41 A in Alcalde.
