Adiana - Metcalf

ADIANA KATHRYN METCALF, went to be with The Lord on Monday, May 17, 2010 in Lubbock, TX. Adiana was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Imogene Lassiter, brother, Kenneth Guthrie; first husband, Johnny Hambrick and second husband, Keith Metcalf of 48 years. She was born in Dawson County, TX to Howard and Allocia (McNew) Guthrie. Adiana was a wonderful homemaker and sewing was her passion. She made many friends through her drapery business. She was involved with 4-H Clubs, teaching many of her skills in sewing, cooking and canning. Over the years she was very involved with her church and with the Rainbow Makers Extension Club. Mrs. Metcalf is survived by her daughters, Jimmie Darlene Bowman and husband Michael of Odessa, TX, Vicky Robinson and husband Randy of Spring, TX and Tracy Gray and husband Kyle of Midlothian, TX; sister, Ann Estell Phelps of Bloomfield; sister-in-law, Lupe Guthrie of Albuquerque, Nine grandchildren and one great grandson and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 24, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at the Santa Cruz United Methodist Church in McCurdy. Burial will take place on Monday, May 24, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. The Metcalf family has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
