Adelita E. - Age 69 - Chimayo Thompson

Adelita E. Thompson – Age 69 a resident of Chimayo passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2012. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Harry Odell Thompson on October 15, 2012; her parents: Esquipula Y. and Dulcinia Martinez; her son, Martin Trujillo; and 3 brothers. Adelita was one of fourteen children and a lifelong resident of Chimayo. She took care of and helped raise many children. She had a special gift in her interaction with people. Adelita was very nurturing and her loving ways came naturally. She made everyone feel welcome in her home and she truly lived her faith. She is survived by her daughters: Debbie Trujillo and husband Brian of Medanales and Bernadette Trujillo of Chimayo; son, Michael Trujillo and wife Pam of Los Alamos; step-sons: Kelly Thompson and wife Wendy, Kim Thompson and Todd Thompson and wife Flor all of Nevada and Joe Kelsey and wife Diane of Utah; granddaughters: Sydney, Morgan and Cassidy Trujillo; 15 step-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandchild; brothers and sisters: David Martinez, Robert Martinez, Benny Martinez, Martha Trujillo and husband Orlando, Joe Martinez and wife Patty, Johnny Martinez and wife Geraldine, Sammy Martinez and wife Neomi and Angie Martinez all of Chimayo, Eddie Martinez and wife Thea of Los Ojos and Esther Martinez and husband Phil of Chimayo; Godchildren: Elizabeth Ronquillo and Angelo Trujillo; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at The Lighthouse Church in Chimayo with a devotional service to be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lighthouse Church in Chimayo. Burial will follow at The Lighthouse Cemetery in Chimayo with the following serving as pallbearers: Ana, Teri, Ronald, Benjie, Johnny, Jason and Lloyd Martinez and Orlando Trujillo, Jr. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Roberta, Rolynn and Aaron Martinez.
