Adelaido A. - Age 93 - El Rancho Serna

Adelaido A. Serna, 93, a resident of El Rancho passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, October 5, 2012. Mr. Serna worked for the Zia Company for many years as a carpet and tile setter. He then decided to open A and A Carpet and Tile Company in the Española Valley where he met many friends whom he enjoyed having coffee with, any chance he could. Adelaido was an avid hunter who loved spending time at his cabin in Tres Piedras with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Serna was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Serna; sons: Arthur L. Serna and Danny D. Serna; daughter , Jeanette Serna Faucett; brother, Chris Serna; granddaughter, Selin Alderete; and son-in-law, Sammy Alderete. Adelaido A. Serna is survived by his daughter, Sally Alderete of Albuquerque; son, Lalo Serna and wife Lorraine of upper San Pedro; daughter, Annabelle Serna of Albuquerque; daughter, LaVern Trujillo and husband George of Albuquerque; son, Nick Serna and wife Lola of Albuquerque; sister, Mary Vigil and husband Manuel of Santa Fe; sister-in-law, Orlinda Serna; daughter-in-law, Sharon Serna; grandchildren, Steve Alderete, Charlotte Trujillo and husband Andrew, Juan Alderete and wife Kenia, Leon Serna, Loren Serna and wife Lori, Kenny Serna and wife Geri, Ernest Serna, Deborah Serna and husband Herb McKinley, Karen Montaño and husband Richard, Katie Anita Trujillo, Ursula Sena, Lisa Chavez and husband Jim, Carlos Serna, Dana Marie White, David White and wife Yvonne, Dawn Kellum and husband Darren, Sammy Maes and wife Adina, Diego Serna and wife Leslie, Julianna Fox and husband Mike; special friends; Marcos and Ester Trujillo and Anthony Montoya; and a special thank you to his care taker, Maria Aniles; several great-grandchildren numerous other loving relatives & friends. A rosary will be recited on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pojoaque with the Mass of the Resurrection to follow at 10:30 a.m. The family of Adelaido A.
