Adela Martinez

ADELA MARTINEZ, age 71, a resident of Cañones passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 3, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvaro Martinez; parents, Jose Dolores Vialpando and Viviana Vialpando, and brother, Ramon Jaramillo. Mrs. Martinez is survived by her children, Yvonne (Kino) Serrano, Roy (Toni) Martinez, Vivian Martinez, Luane (Steven) Miller, James (Robin) Martinez; her brothers, Lonisio (Martha) Vialpando, Richard (Elvia) Vialpando and Mark Neuman; sisters, Virginia Vialpando, Becky Lovato, Ramona (Jose Luis) Raya, Lorraine (Francisco) Sanchez, and Juanita Vialpando whom she loved like a sister. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the San Miguel Catholic Church in Cañones with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. also at the San Miguel Catholic Church in Cañones. Burial to follow at the Cañones Cemetery. The family of Adela Martinez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
