Addie Melinda Garcia

Addie Melinda Garcia, 62, of Ojo Caliente, NM passed on August 25, 2023, from a lengthy illness.

Addie is preceded in death by her parents Jose Adan Garcia Jr. and Betty Garcia; brothers Randy and Melvin Garcia; sister Augusta Dyson and sister-in-law Dorothy Garcia.

Addie was a devoted Christian who enjoyed participating in bible studies and other church activities. Addie’s hobbies included baking delicious bizcochitos and making mouth-watering tortillas.  Addie was very well-known for her embroidering and crocheting skills. Addie loved her family and friends and would call and visit them as often as she could.

Addie is survived by her life-long partner Luis Ruybal of Espanola, NM; son Mario Ruybal of Espanola, NM; sister-in-law Orie Anne Garcia of Espanola, NM; brother’s Darryl Garcia of Hernandez, NM and Joseph Garcia (Denise) of White Rock, NM; brother-in-law Jim Dyson of Los Alamos, NM; nephews Darryl Garcia Jr., Matthew Garcia, Nicolas Garcia (Daniela), Michael Garcia (Nadia), Geoffrey Marquez and Isaiah Garcia; nieces Vanissa Barrett (Roy), Desiree Garcia and Niki Garcia; grand nephews Lee Barrett, Zachary Miller, Landon and Samuel Garcia; grand niece Patience Vargas; step children Chris (Cindy) Ruybal, Marcel Ruybal and Mona Jurado, all of Colorado; and many close family and friends.  

A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, September 23, 2023, to include Rosary at 12:00 pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in La Madera, NM with a meal to follow from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Apache Drum in La Madera, NM.

Honorary Pallbearers are as follows: Darryl Garcia Jr., Matthew Garcia, Nicolas Garcia, Michael Garcia, Vanissa Barrett, Desiree Garcia, Geoffrey Marquez, Isaiah Garcia and Niki Garcia.
