Adauto Romero, 61, a lifelong resident of Cordova passed away on Monday, March 7, 2011. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and going for wood. Adauto was preceded in death by his son, Brian Romero; grandparents: Victor and Beroniz Romero, Adauto and Cleofus Romero; special uncles: Felix Romero and Nicomedes Romero. He is survived by his daughters: Yvonne Baca of Espanola, Rita Romero of Arroyo Seco; grandchildren: Ray, Jeremy and Angel Martinez, Danika Baca, Alicia Herrera, Brian and Vanessa Romero; great-grandchildren: Jeremy Martinez and Makayla Herrera; parents, Moises and Matilde Romero of Cordova; sisters: Connie Garcia of Cordova, Imelda Gonzales of Cordova, Ida Rodriguez and husband Adrian of Greely, CO, Sandra Romero of Cordova; brothers: Silviano Romero and Ernesto Romero of Cordova; madrina, Frances Romero of Vadito. Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. A second rosary will be recited on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the San Antonio Catholic Church in Cordova. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at San Antonio Catholic Church in Cordova with burial to follow at San Antonio Catholic Cemetery in Cordova with the following serving as pallbearers: Ray Martinez Jr., Jeremy Martinez, Joey Romero, James Vigil, Peter Gonzales and Ray Martinez; honorary pallbearers: Danika Baca, Angel Martinez, Alicia Herrera, Jeremy Martinez, Makayla Herrera.
