On Saturday January 14, 2023, Adam A. Valdez, a loving father, son, grandfather and uncle passed away at the age of 46.
He was proceeded in death by his beloved brother Jose “Joser” Valdez, maternal grandparents Jose and Lugardita Carrillo, grandfather Sisto Garcia, paternal Grandparents Aquilino and Matilde Valdez, paternal great-grandparents Amarante and Ignacita Valdez, great-grandmother Anita Trujillo, special aunts Denise Valdez and Sarah Garcia, special uncles Martin Valdez, and Monty Trujillo.
Adam was born on May 14, 1976, to Aquilino Valdez and Lupita Salazar in Espanola, NM. He loved spending time with his children and family, his hobbies included hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, camping, and working on vehicles. He always reminded his children how proud he was of them.
Adam A. Valdez is survived by his beloved children Anthony (Justina), Jasmine, Desiree (Brandon), Joshua and Eric. The mother of his eldest children Leora Chavez, mother of his youngest and partner, Nina Devargas, and his beloved grandson Rider. His father Aquilino Valdez and Angela, his mother, Lupita Salazar (Rudy-deceased), grandma CeCe and Beatrice (Paul) Martinez, his niece Kayla Valdez, special uncle and aunt Alex and Connie Valdez, special aunt Maria (Tita) Valdez-Herrera (deceased-Sam Herrera), Rachel Trujillo and numerous loved family members and Friends.
A Rosary will be recited on Friday January 27, 2023, at 10:00am followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00am at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial will take place at a later date.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be his cousins Robert, Geno, Ronald, Johnathon, Jay and Reina, Matias, Aqui and Odette.
