Our beloved Abel went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 14, 2015. He was born Juan Francisco Abel Gonzales on June 1, 1935 to Abel and Sarita Gonzales in Jacona, NM. At the age of 15 he moved to California. He met Augustina “Tina” Martinez and they got married and raised five children, four daughters, Loretta, Janet, Annabel, and Isabel, and a son, Abel “Lito” Jr. Abel has 3 grandchildren who were his pride and joy.
Abel was a hard working and caring man who loved his entire family dearly. He enjoyed listening to music, watching his novellas, and most importantly spending time with his family and friends.
Abel was preceded in death by his parents Abel and Sarita, daughter Janet, son Lito, brothers Anisceto and Rubio, sisters Martha, Flora, and Dora. His daughters Loretta and her husband Randy, Annabel and her husband Juan, and Isabel survive him.
He is also survived by his grandchildren Christopher, Britani, and Zack as well as his sisters Corrine and Mary, a special nephew, Leo and his wife Linda, and adopted daughter and family, Maria, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Services will be held in California. A mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 21, 2015. A burial has been scheduled for Saturday, August 22, 2015.
