Victor Reynolds, 81, resident of upper San Pedro for 62 years passed away suddenly on September 9, 2016.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Benita Reynolds Lopez; father, Joe Trujillo; sons, Chris and Kenneth Reynolds; daughter-in-law, Connie Reynolds; grandsons, Derrick and Victor Reynolds; half-brother, Larry Lopez; brother-in-law, Gene Medina, nephews, Gene Medina Jr. and Alex Ortiz; in-laws, Eugenio and Modesta Medina. Victor was a veteran of the US Army and served in the Korean Conflict War in 1955. He was a member of the American Legion for 30 years. He worked as a miner in Grants and Montana and retired from Zia Co in Los Alamos, NM. He loved animals, fishing, and enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to explore the Valley and nearby areas on a daily basis.  The love of his life was his wife, Neri, whom he cared for with his whole heart they were married in 1954.   He built a home for his five children and his wife with his own hands.  He taught his granddaughter to listen to the sounds of life.  Not only was it important to (see) but, his sense of sound was his key for survival.  He was a quiet man but, had lifetime friends. Victor Reynolds is survived by his wife of 62 years, Neri Reynolds; daughters, Debbie (Paul, Desiree, Paula and family, Lori and family, Miguel and family), Rosemarie (Carlitos, Manuel); son, Steve (Teresa, Jeremy, Omar and family, Melissa and family); sisters, Nora Serrano (Del), Sabinita Ortiz (Cristobal), Otilia Sandoval (John); Priscilla Bograud (Eddie); brother Eugenico Lopez (Orlinda); JoAnn Trujillo and family, Vincent Trujillo and family, Joey Trujillo and family, Evita Ortega (Andrew, Paul, Katherine, Jon, and Julia), Prescilla Medina, Ernie Medina (Agatha, Nevaeh, Santiago, and Ricco) Ronnie (Pat, Sean, Renee), and Hermino Garcia; grandchildren, Jeremy, Desiree, Carlitos, Manuel, Christopher, Nathanial, Randy, Omar, Melissa, Paula, Lori, Miguel, and Adrian;  great-grandchildren, Breyna Reynolds, Karamia and Xavier Valdez,  and Victoriana Reynolds. Public visitation will begin on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada with a burial to follow at 12:45 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers please donate to the Arroyo Seco Animal Hospital (Reference Angel Fund) . The family of Victor Reynolds has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
