Veronica J. - age 55 - Hernandez Martinez

Veronica J. Martinez, 55, a resident of Hernandez, passed away following a lengthy illness at her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, January 18, 2014. She was preceded in death by her father, Manuel R. Apodaca; father of her children, Juan “Tano” Martinez; and close friends, Nick Rogart and Ray Montoya. Veronica was a spiritual woman with very strong faith in her savior Yehshua. She enjoyed nature and spending time with family and friends. She valued education, held a Master’s degree, and was honored as a Who’s Who in New Mexico. She advocated for anyone in need. She loved everyone with all of her heart. Ms. Martinez is survived by her two loving daughters, Daisy R. Trujillo and Lily V. Martinez Rael; beloved grandchildren, Dominique, Michael III, and Gabriella Trujillo; great grandchild to be; mother, Bernie V. Apodaca; brother, Alfred Apodaca; sister, Ruby J. Martinez; loving nieces, Ashley, Nadine, and Holly Martinez; cherished doggies, Baby and Tyner and numerous relatives and close friends. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Fire Hebraic Center in Pojoaque. Burial will be at a later date. The family requests donations be made to Century Bank in Lily Martinez Rael’s name. The family of Veronica J.
