Salomon A. Martinez, 88, resident of El Llano, born in San Luis CO., was called to be with the Lord on Monday November 7, 2016. Salomon was preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Andrita Martinez; daughter, Jean Quintana, son, Tommy Martinez; granddaughter, Lori Libby; in-Laws, Estainslado and Octavianita Naranjo; 8 sisters, 2 brothers; step son, Pete Padilla. Solomon worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory for 25 years. He enjoyed fixing bikes and swing sets and taking them to the Flea Market and selling them. He also enjoyed gardening and selling at the Farmers Market. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Minnie Martinez; children, Linda Joyce and husband Eugene Sanchez, Salomon Martinez Jr., Marty Martinez, Albert Larragana and wife Maria, Julian and Eva Martinez; grandchildren, Eugene, Tomas Sanchez, Marty Jr., Adam and Michael Martinez, James Sanchez, Tommy Martinez Jr., Tammie Martinez, Matthew Sanchez, Rachel and Victoria Martinez and Nick Larragana; brothers, Ruben, Rafael and Max Martinez; brother-in-law, Melicendro Naranjo and many other relatives. The family wishes to thank all the nurses and daughter Eva that cared for him during his illness. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him. A rosary will be recited on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada, with a mass to follow at 10:00 a.m., with a burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Knights of Columbus in Arroyo Seco. Serving the family as pallbearers, Solomon Martinez Jr., Albert Larragana, Julian Martinez, Tommy Martinez Jr., Matthew Sanchez and Paul Martinez. The family of Salomon A.
