Patrick Vigil

PATRICK J. VIGIL , 46, a resident of Medanales, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his mother, Molly Vigil; brother, Marty Vigil; son, Frankie Jerome Vigil; grandfather, Ernest Garcia; uncles, Charlie Jimenez, Michael “Mickey” Garcia, Edward Garcia and aunt, Connie Jimenez. Patrick was one of a kind. He was a devoted, loving husband of 18 years and a wonderful father of 6 children and grandfather of 1. In his leisure he enjoyed building model cars, watching movies and spending time with his loved ones. He loved to be outdoors, camping, fishing and anything that involved being out in the fresh air. He adored spending time with his grandson and listening to music as loud as he could. He was a generous, compassionate, kind and loving man who would always help anyone in need. He would give them his last if they needed it. His faith was strong and his personality was grand. To know him was to love him! He had an infectious laugh and was quite the jokester, anyone around him couldn’t help but to laugh for hours. He always made sure that everyone was happy and taken care of and will truly be remembered and missed. Mr. Vigil is survived by his wife, Michelle Vigil; children, Isabella Vigil both of Medanales, Brandy Vigil and companion Ruben Espinoza of Chimayo, Amber Vigil and companion Adrian Baldonado of Alcalde, Dion Vigil and companion Delilah Valdez of Española and Marty Vigil of Belen; grandson, Ayden Baldonado of Alcalde; brothers, Mike Rael and wife Anissa of Santa Fe and Gerald Rael and wife Doreen of Jacksonville, FL; brothers-in-law, Teddy Sauls of Blair, WI, and Donnie Sauls of Maybelle, CO; mother-in-law, Diana Garcia of Medanales; father-in-law, David Sandoval of Aragon; grandmother, Porferia Garcia of Peñasco and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends. Private services will be held due to the COVID-19 restrictions. Serving as pallbearers, Levi Martinez, Matthew Maestas, Vidal Fernandez, Joel Fernandez, Jose Rodriguez and David Sandoval. Honorary pallbearers named are Juan Garcia and Teddy Sauls. The family of Patrick J. Vigil has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
