Olevio Trujillo

OLEVIO TRUJILLO, 68, a resident of Cordova, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015 following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Saiz and Ermelinda Trujillo; daughter, Karen Trujillo; sons, Gary and Leonard Trujillo and mother in law, Barbra Trujillo. He worked in Los Alamos as a custodian/laborer for over 20 years. He drove the bus for the Senior Citizens and was a truck driver for 5 years. He was a race horse trainer and owner and enjoyed working with horses every day. He was very well known and had a great sense of humor. He was always there for anyone in need. Mr. Trujillo is survived by his wife of 47 years who he loved dearly, Ruby Trujillo, she was his partner and love of his life; daughter, Nicole Trujillo-Diaz and husband Emmanual Diaz of Cordova; grandchild, Demariz Lindzee Diaz who he loved dearly, she was his pride and joy, not a day passed when he wouldn’t take her for a ride on the ATV; sisters, Mary Vigil and companion Jerry of Española, Annabell and Paul Gonzales of El Guique, Corrine and Salomon Talamante of Chili, Dora Solis of Española, Patty and companion Roger of Española, Beverly Montoya of Grants, Polita and Armando Pacheco of Cordova, Nancy and Bobby Martinez of Abiquiu; aunt, Sabinita Herrera; sister-in-law, Geneva and Eddie Romero of Cordova; brothers-in-law, Porfirio, William and Donald Trujillo of Cordova; father-in-law, Petacio Trujillo of Cordova; special niece, Martha Trujillo  and kids of Cordova; close friends, Lawrence Torrez, Dwayne Sanchez of Cordova, Bedelio Trujillo, Steve Gomez, Ardy and Jessie Sanchez of Cordova and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a memorial to follow at 7:00 p.m. Burial to be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cordova Catholic Cemetery. The family of Olevio Trujillo has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
