Nathan Riegel

d. November 15, 2017

In sorrow, we share the sad news of the loss of a dear soul, Nathan Christopher Riegel, who left this earth November 15, 2017 at the young age of 33.

Nathan had just recently moved to Los Alamos, NM, where he immediately fell in love with his new home and expressed nothing but excitement to begin his new life there.

Nathan was a talented and intelligent young man.  His big dream was to write his (first) novel and enjoy a career as a writer.  At an early age, Nathan’s writing talent was recognized through his admission into “Who’s Who Among American High School Students” in 1999.   He had many talents, a passion for reading – especially American Civil War history – and a love of video games.

Nathan leaves his beloved brother, Adam, whom he loved more than anything in this world.  His father Chris Riegel, and mother Teena Buice.  His grandparents, Larry and MaryEllen Riegel, of Reading, PA, as well as many dear aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him so dearly.
To know Nathan was to love Nathan.

Nathan is safe and with his loved ones who departed this world before him, especially his grandparents Willie and JoAnn Buice, and his favorite U.S. president, Abraham Lincoln.

We will miss him dearly and are so thankful for the time we had with our dear Nathan.

Memorial services will be held privately amongst the families. For those wishing to extend their sympathies, in lieu of flowers, to family members, please send your donations in Nathan’s name to his favorite charity, The Salvation Army.  The family of Nathan Christopher Riegel has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley. 505-747-7477
