Minnie Martinez

MINNIE MARTINEZ, 79, a resident of Espanola, passed away unexpected on Saturday, February 2, 2019.  Minnie was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Gilbert Padilla; son, Pete Padilla; husband, Solomon Martinez; parents, Estanislado and Octavianita Naranjo; sisters, Ramoncita Vigil, Emiteria Salazar and Rumalda Martinez. Minnie was a seamstress by trade, she loved music and had a green thumb for flowers. She was always joking and laughing and enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends. Minnie is survived by her son, Julian Martinez; daughter, Eva Martinez; grandchildren, Rachel and Victoria Martinez, Matthew Sanchez, Amy and Andrea Padilla; great-grandchildren, Brianna Archuleta, Adriyana Medina, and Eric Sanchez; brother, Melicendro Naranjo; daughter-in-law, Liz Padilla and close niece Carmela Martinez and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Memorial mass will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada.
