MIGUEL A. GASCA, 36, a resident of Rio Rancho and formerly of Velarde, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015 surrounded by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Horace T. Gasca; sister, Yvonne B. Gasca; paternal grandparents, Adolfo and Ermelinda Gasca; step-grandmothers, Mary and Alvinita Gasca; maternal grandparents, Celestino and Candelaria Sisneros; uncles, David, Eddie, Ernie and Jesse Gasca and Eppie Sisneros; cousins, David Gasca, Jr. and Celeste Sisneros. Miguel was a man of God and loved the Lord very much, he loved to read the bible and knew it very well. One of his favorite verses was Matthew 10:26. Miguel loved his wife, children and mother very much they were his whole world. Miguel was very family oriented. He loved spending time with his family playing video games, fishing, camping and just going on family outings. Miguel loved children and when he was around them he turned into a big kid himself. Miguel had a very big heart and always saw the good in people always wanted to help everyone even if he went without. Miguel was a lifelong Raider fan, and made friends everywhere he went. He was loved by all that knew him. Mr. Gasca is survived by his wife, Kim Gasca; children, Alexis, Rosabella and Jesus Gasca; mother Bertha Gasca; brother, Thomas Martinez and wife Holly; God-sister, Angelica Vigil and husband Randy; nieces, Isabella, Lilly, Deliliah, Denise and Mia Martinez; one nephew, Thomas Martinez, Jr.; father-in-law, Reynaldo Martinez; mother-in-law, Pauline Martinez; brothers-in-law, Reynaldo Martinez Sr. and wife Felicia, Ryan and Keith Martinez and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Light House Church in Chimayo. Public visitation will begin on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Velarde. Burial to follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery in Velarde. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff and JP Lyon. The family of Miguel A.
