MAX A TRUJILLO, 55, a resident of La Madera, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017. Max was preceded in death by his loving wife, Brenda Gallegos; son, Brendon Herrera; best friend, Gil Lucero. Max was a great father, a comedian and a good all-around man. He loved doing whatever it was with his wife as long as she was happy. He was a legendary iron worker in California and built the home in La Madera they resided in. 1 Mad Max was respected and loved by everyone. Max is survived by his children, Candice Herrera and spouse Anita of La Madera, Delbert Herrera and spouse Nicole of Los Lunas, Max Trujillo and spouse Shiann of Ojo Caliente, Carissa Herrera and Damian Herrera both of La Madera; grandchildren, Brandon Herrera, Jeremiah Herrera, and Maxis Trujillo; parents, Ernesto Trujillo of La Madera and Pauline Irons of California; siblings, Paul Trujillo, Jason Trujillo, Michelle Trujillo, Greg Trujillo, Jackie Chacon and numerous uncles, aunts, relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ojo Caliente. Burial to follow at Vallecitos Catholic Cemetery with the following serving the family as pallbearers, Delbert Herrera, Max Trujillo, Candice Herrera, Devin Griego Carissa Herrera, Jason Trujillo, Greg Trujillo, Joe Trujillo and Mark Berry.
