Juanita Lujan (Gallegos ) age 87; passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She had 5 brothers and two sisters who preceded her in death and was the youngest of her siblings. Juanita was born on December 16, 1931, in Las Comanche’s Ranch near Ojo Calente and her parents were, Juan and Eloisa Gallegos. She was a resident in the Espanola Valley where she lived most of her life. Juanita graduated from McCurdy High School and took courses in Adam State College in Alamosa Colorado. She moved away and spent the last 14 years of her life in Colorado Springs, Colorado to live by her two daughters, Antonetta Gianino and Paula Martinez. She had a passion for God all her life and was a member of Victory Faith Church in Espanola. Juanita loved music and playing the piano which brought joy to many people who listened to her play. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and friend to many people who knew her and will be greatly missed. She was proceeded in death by her daughter Glenda Lujan, her son Leon Lujan, and her granddaughter Candice Quintana, and other close family members.
She is survived by her daughters; Paula Martinez (Joe), Antonetta Gianino (Gino), Eloise Estrada (Gilbert), and Amanda Lujan, to include nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Juanita Lujan will be held at the DeVargas Funeral Home in Espanola, 623 North Railroad Ave, on September 7, 2019, at 11:00 AM.
