JOSE E. ARCHULETA, 90, a resident of Chili passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 following a lengthy illness.  Jose was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Archuleta; son, James Archuleta; parents, Antonio and Marceline Archuleta; siblings, Susan Atencio, Romanita Roybal, Pablino Archuleta, Oriela Baker, Felipe Archuleta, and Baltzar Archuleta. Jose married Frances in 1957 and they were married for 54 years. Jose was a brilliant man who overcame obstacles and had many accomplishments in his life. He was born and raised in Cebolla on August 4, 1928. Jose was honorably discharged from the Military Air Force in 1946 as an Air Craft Resume Sergeant (Rank). He enjoyed being a rancher and raising his sheep, working with his tractor, and enjoyed square dancing. Jose was the owner of 2 businesses; the Espanola Glass Company and the Archuleta Trailer Park in Chili. Jose will be forever remembered by all of his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Mr. Archuleta is survived by his grandchildren, Jordan Archuleta, Jacki Lopez and husband Ronnie Lopez, Jessy Archuleta, Janae Archuleta, James Archuleta, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Malaki, Harmony, Jeremiah, Melody, Malaki, Faith, Hezekiah, and Nikko; siblings, David and Miguel Archuleta, Julia Casados and Jenny Martinez; God-daughter, Anna Roybal; close friends, Daniel and Francine Gutierrez and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a devotional service to follow at 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Valley View United Methodist Church in Espanola with a burial to follow at 2:15 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers; James Archuleta, Jr., Ernesto Archuleta, Pablino Archuleta, Jr., Bobby Archuleta, Vicente Atencio, Daniel Gutierrez and Jason Roybal. The family of Jose E.
