JOHNNIE W.  ANDERSON , 96, a resident of Medanales and a disabled WWII Veteran, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at home with his loving family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Gertie Anderson; sisters, Catherine Perry, Ruby Earp; brother, Kenneth Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Ann Anderson; daughters, Tracie A. Leighton (Tom), Rhonda Honeycutt (Larry) and Annette Barboza (Lalo); son, Kenneth Grissom (Rina); sister, Frances Rowin; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home. Burial to follow at 12:45 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family of Johnnie W. Anderson has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
