Gloria Gould

GLORIA (JEAN) E. GOULD, (MAIDEN NAME RIVERA) a loving wife of over 55 years, mom, grandma, great grandma, sister and friend. She was a resident of Rio Chama and passed away following a horrible battle with cancer on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Ruben and Fidela Rivera of Nambe and grandson, Ronald Gould of Nambe. Gloria was born and raised in Nambe. Valedictorian of her Pojoaque High School graduating class. She enjoyed working outside in her garden, irrigating and also tending to the animals and life on the ranch. She always enjoyed fishing and camping, El Valle was her favorite camping and fishing spot. Our beloved mom loved her little antique shop here in Espanola and enjoyed visiting with her customers. She is survived by her husband Walter; son, Jay, daughter, Lynn; grandchildren, Rayne (boyfriend Arturo), Amber, Jalyn and Aiden; great grandchildren, Lexi and Devin and sister, Belle Marie and husband Leonard of Cuyamungue. She has a large extended family of cousins, several of which remained very close. She was a wonderful mom, who did everything for us, she always had home cooked meals, waited for us to get off of the bus after school, she attended all of our school functions and was always loving and supportive throughout our entire lives. We will always miss our wife, mom, grandma, great-great grandma, sister and friend. God really blessed us and our family for so many years. MOM! We hope you have a beautiful garden in heaven with a view of your Truchas Peaks, you, Ronald and grandma & Grandpa wait for all of us in Heaven. WE LOVE YOU & WE WILL ALWAYS MISS YOU. Public visitation will begin on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nambe, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with a burial to follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Nambe. Serving the family as pallbearers are Aniver Roybal, Mike Roark, Arturo Delgado, Wayne Ed Mosley, Elmer Sanchez, and Leonard Garcia. The family of Gloria (Jean) E. Gould has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
