ESTEVAN “JOE” MARTINEZ, 57, a resident of Chimayo, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anastacio and Adonelia Duran Martinez; wife, Doris I. Lopez; brothers, Gilbert, Ricky, Anastacio, Jr. and Frankie Martinez. Mr. Martinez is survived by his companion, Victoria Romero; children, Patrick Martinez and wife Caroline all of Chimayo, Katherine Martinez of Española and Elisa Martinez of Chimayo; grandchildren, Jasmine, Brittany, Alexis, Alyana, Patrick Junior Martinez of Chimayo, Raymond Vigil, Jr., and Brooke Vigil both of Española; sisters and bother, Susie, Benny, Berlinda and Rose Martinez all of Chimayo; 2 great-grandchildren on the way and numerous other relatives and friends. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. The family of Estevan “Joe” Martinez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
