Elizaida Suazo

Elizaida C. Suazo, 91, a resident of Gallina, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018. Elizaida was born on May 21, 1927 to Tomas and Victoria Corrales. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Willie Suazo; brothers, Epifanio, Celestino, Roger, Anselmo and Frank Corrales. She is survived by her children, Willie Suazo Jr. and wife Marcella, Sophie Salaz and companion Jake, Dennis Suazo, Alfonso Suazo and companion Sandra; 3 special grandchildren whom she raised, Anthony Suazo, Sharon Suazo-Oakley and Dymphia Suazo; brother, Joe Corrales; special niece, Jessie Salazar, 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Gallina, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Gallina, with a burial to follow at Capulin Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers are Roger Corrales, Amadeo Chacon, Tommy Corrales, Clement Suazo, Steve Corrales and Joseph Corrales, honorary pallbearer is Estevan Madrid.  The family of Elizaida C. Suazo has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
