Elizabeth Montoya

Elizabeth M. Montoya, 87, of Ojo Caliente, NM passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2015 at her Granddaughters home surrounded by family in Broomfield, CO under the care of Halcyon Hospice and Palliative Care. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents Evaristo and Albiania Jaramillo; brother Evaristo Jr. Jaramillo; sister Sophia French; her loving husband of 62 years John J. Montoya; her father and mother-in-law Tiburico and Roseanne Montoya. Elizabeth is survived by her children daughter Mary Smith and husband Jerry of Westminster, CO; son Robert Montoya of Riverside, CA; son James Montoya and wife Jan of Ojo Caliente; daughter Roseanne Baca and husband Melvin of Ojo Caliente; 6  grandchildren: Joey, Susan, Tamera, Robyn, Juan, and Kartrina; 8 great-grandchildren Ethan, Uriah, Jade, Jacinda, Marcos, Halina, Jayden, and Elliora; brother Horacio Jaramillo and sister Cornia Martinez and numerous relatives. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 6:30p in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00pm Mass of Christian burial will be held at Saint Marys Catholic Church in Ojo Caliente at 11:00am with burial to follow at Ojo Caliente Cemetery with the following serving pallbearers: Aaron Rieley, Dean Halbeisen, Ethan Smith, Uriah Halbeisen, Benny Mora, Juan Baca; honorary pallbearers will be the grandchildren.
