Darren McKenna

Darren S. McKenna, a resident of Espanola, went to be with our Heavenly father on Thursday, October 4, 2018. Darren was preceded in death by his mother, Yvonne Martinez; father, Sheridan McKenna Jr.; maternal grandmother, Eloisa Martinez, maternal grandfather, Ernesto Martinez, paternal grandmother, Mary McKenna, paternal grandfather, Sheridan McKenna Sr.; Timothy Rivera who was like a brother; God-brother, Glen Trujillo; step-father, Andrew Bustos. Darren was a very well-liked charismatic young man who would light up any room. He was artistic and loved to draw. He was funny, light hearted and was always giving. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. He will forever hold a place in all our hearts. He is survived by his sister, Naomi Vigil and her children, Mia and Lucas Quintana; aunt/God mother, Tara Garcia, uncles, Dion Martinez, Shane McKenna, Anthony Garcia, God-Father, Larry Quintana Jr., aunt, Annette Salazar; God-brother, Dale Gurule and his children, Kayden and Kaylobe  and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Santa Cruz Cemetery. The family of Darren S. McKenna has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
