Cora Martinez

Cora D. Martinez, 90, a resident of Santa Cruz, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 31, 2017. Cora was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and MaClovia Cruz; husband, Reginaldo Martinez; companion Camilo E. Medina Jr.; brother, Doroteo Cruz, sister, Adonelia Martinez and son, Sammy Martinez. Cora was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, companion and friend. She loved to dance, the Casino and being with all her family. She is survived by her children, Lindy Martinez (Josue); Raymond, Billy (Geneva); grandchildren, Victoria Martinez; Richard Horton; Samantha Martinez; Adel Valdez; David Martinez; Reggie Martinez; Billy Martinez (Victoria); Andrew Trujillo (Ruby); Marie (Felix) great grandchildren, Anita Valdez; Felix Valdez; Alejandra Valdez; Myron Martinez; Lauren; sisters, Orlinda Duree (Bill); Carol DeLeon (Ben); brother Rudy Cruz (Beverly) and many other nieces and nephews. Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Reception will be held after the Mass at the Chimayo Center next to the Holy Family Church. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Horton, David Martinez, Andrew Trujillo, Billy Martinez Jr., Andy Peralta, Chris O’Neal, Guy Alguire, Tom Meier, Rosie Meier, Antoinette Alguire, Jessica Salazar, Adel Valdez, Victoria Martinez, Samantha Martinez. Special bearers will be Anita Valdez, Felix Valdez, Alejandra Valdez, Addison Alguire, Savanah Finley, Matthew Finley, Paisely, Lillie, Iris and Aven O’Neal and Myron Martinez. The family of Cora D.
