Charles Brehm, Jr.

Charles F. Brehm Jr.  (Chuck), 71, a resident of Alcalde passed away February 18, 2020 of pancreatic cancer.  He was born in Hanover, PA on October 14, 1948 and was the son of Charles F. Brehm Sr. and Zadie Smith Brehm.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Zadie Smith Brehm, former wife, Joyce Brehm and his step-son Rein Kima.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Brehm; father, Charles F. Brehm, Sr.; son, Charles Brehm and wife Sherry, and daughter, Tracy Biris-Kent; siblings;  Yyetta (Doug) Whitehead, Deborah Brehm, Patrick (Christine) Brehm, William (Dorothy) Brehm and John Brehm; step-children, Debbie Gordon (Dave), Donna Godwin (Tommy), Dale Stahle (Kim) and Lee Stahle (Shannon).

Chuck had nine grandchildren, Ashlea, Corey, Alexandra, Joshua, Cassy, Dustin, Samantha, Chandler, Corvin and six great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Also surviving him are his mother-in-law, Nancy Trujillo; brother-in-law, Dennis Trujillo and sister-in-law, Leslie Montoya (Jake), and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

Chuck started his career as a Machinist at Noxell in Maryland. He then moved to Los Alamos, New Mexico to work for LANL as a Machinist. He later became a Maintenance Supervisor at S-Site and was employed by the laboratory for 31 years.

Devotional Services will take place on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 11:00 am in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial to follow at the Alcalde Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, William Brehm, Lee Stahle, Dennis Trujillo, Isaac Trujillo, Jesse Salazar and Johnny Chavez.

The family would like to give special thanks to Gina Martinez, Jennifer and Samantha.  NM Cancer Center, Christus St. Vincent Cancer Center, Doctors and Nurses at Presbyterian and Dr. Abouda.

The family of Charles F. Brehm Jr. has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
