Carolina Trujillo

CAROLINA L. TRUJILLO, 91, a resident of Chimayo, passed away peacefully at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her family on Monday, February 16, 2015 following a lengthy illness. Carolina was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benedicto and Barbarita Lopez; loving husband, Max E. Trujillo; brother, Jose George Lopez and wife Josephine and recently a grandson, William Trujillo, Sr. Mrs. Trujillo is survived by her children, Frances Trujillo and husband Eloy of Chamita, Ursulo Trujillo and wife Della of Santa Fe, Lucy Cordova and husband Willie of Chimayo and Maxine Montoya and husband Henry of Abiquiu; grandchildren, Nicodemus Montoya and wife Monica, Bryan Trujillo, Melissa Rael and husband William, Carl Montoya and wife Yvette, Matthew Trujillo, Marcos Trujillo and Gabriel Cordova; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; sister-in-law, Dora Bustos and husband Elias; brother-in-law, Ismael Trujillo and wife Erlinda and numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo with a Mass of Christian burial to follow immediately after at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at the Nuestra Señora de Carmel Cemetery in Chimayo with the following serving as pallbearers, Nicodemus Montoya, Bryan Trujillo, Carl Montoya, Matthew Trujillo, Marcos Trujillo and Gabriel Cordova. Honorary pallbearers will be all her great-grandchildren. The family of Carolina Trujillo has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
