Billie Starkey

Billie Helen Starkey, passed away on August 25, 2019. She was born in Justin, Texas on January 16th, 1925, to Oren and Mary Porter. She lived in New Mexico for 68 years and worked with the Espanola Hospital Auxiliary for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Starkey who passed away on July 20, 2004. They were married for 59 years at the time of his death. She is survived by her son, Jack and daughter-in-law, Deborah, granddaughter, Carol Starkey and partner, Abas Goldman, granddaughter, Laura Johnson and husband, Toby Johnson, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and their children. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a burial to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Española Hospital Auxiliary would be appreciated.
