Amanda Marie Tafoya, 29, a resident of Peñasco, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017. Amanda was preceded in death by her grandmother, Merly Tafoya; great-grandparents, Silas and Fermila Salazar and Efrin and Edonila Montoya; Tio, Celestino Salazar. Amanda had a beautiful smile and laugh. She loved working, the outdoors and horses. Amanda was a great cook and loved to grill. She learned woodworking and carving from her dad. She loved her family very much. Amanda is survived by her sons, Miguel and Daniel Roybal; parents, Daniel and Rachel Tafoya; sisters, Angela Tafoya (Sergio), Alicia Tafoya (Darren), and Carolina Tafoya; grandparents, Tomas and Oralia Salazar and David Tafoya; nieces and nephews, Natalia, Emilio and Karla and many other relatives and friends. Private services will be held. The family of Amanda Marie Tafoya has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
