Abigail Danielle Rodarte

Abigail Danielle Rodarte ,16, passed away unexpectedly to a better life on Sunday, July 8, 2018 due to injuries sustained in a car accident.  She was born on January 18, 2002 to loving parents David and Tanya Rodarte of Cordova. Abigail was preceded in death by her brother, Jerome Rodarte; cousins, Mark Garcia of Truchas, Donovan Pacheco of Cordova, Jonothan “SPEEDY” Pacheco of Dixon, Wally, Renee and Andrew Medina of Cordova; uncle, Aaron Rodarte of Rodarte; aunt, Barbara Rodarte of Rodarte; great-grandparents, Alicia Pacheco of Peñasco, Garcedon and Adonelia Pacheco of Cordova, Anselmo Aguilar of El Valle and Eliza and Frumencio Rodarte of Rodarte; great aunts & uncles, Irene Medina of Cordova, Lorrain Barela of Truchas, Mida Pacheco of Truchas, Valeriano and Teddy Pacheco of Cordova, Nelson Aguilar of El Valle, Leroy Aguilar of Trampas, Fernando Rodarte of Rodarte, Ane and Rodney Rodarte of Grants, Jeff and John Gurule of Rio Lucio and Patricia Armijo of Grants. Abigail came unto this earth with Love, Joy and Laughter.  Abigail was a very loving child she loved music, swimming, riding ATV’s, hanging out with friends and family and most of all traveling. Abigail had a passion for playing the drums and serving the Lord. She played the drums at the Light House Mission in Rio Chiquito where she attended youth group.  Abigail attended Espanola Valley High School with the class of 2020. She had a passion for sports especially tennis. Abigail is survived by her parents, Tanya & David Rodarte of Cordova; brother, Tristin Rodarte of Cordova and Genesis Fernandez of Santa Fe; boyfriend, Diego Rojo of Nambe; grandparents, Mildred and Louie Aguilar of Cordova, Antonio Rodarte of Rodarte, Rebecca and Lee Chavez of Peñasco and Andy Medina of Cordova; great-grandparents, Pete Pacheco of Peñasco and Oufelia Aguilar of El Valle; aunts, Jamie Rodarte of Albuquerque, Genevieve and Harvey Fernandez of Santa Fe and Chris and Crystal Pacheco of Santa Fe; very close cousins which she considered like sisters, Serena Barela, Samantha Barela and Destiny Vigil. Public visitation will take place on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at El Buen Pastor Church in Española with a service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. also at El Buen Pastor Church with burial to follow at the San Antonio de Padua Cemetery in Cordova. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Serena Barela, Samantha Barela, Destiny Vigil, Kaylee Martinez, Kennedy Vigil, Miranda Medina, Diego Rojo, Lawrence Armenta, Joseph Lujan and Andrew Ortiz. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Genesis Fernandez, Bella Pacheco, Timothy Gonzales, Sean and Jordan Martinez, Derek and Patrick Barela, Roy Jr., Perry and Gordon Garcia, Devin and Isaiah Malcom, Kaitlyn and Dylan Castillo,  Heaven and Paitin Dupree, Angel, Shantel and Nathaniel Pacheco, Dominique and Isaiah Manzanares, Audreyana, Jaime, Beatrice Peña, Lauren Pacheco,  Lilly and Luke Sims, Loren and Monique Sandoval, Adriana Martin, Brandon, Tim Jr. and  James Martinez, Alexis, Gesenia, Sophia Torresday, Jesus and Jordan Gutierrez, Josiah and Malaya Lovato, Brian, Anthony, Jordan, Brianna and Saralee, Jeremy and Isaac, Mariah, Marisa, Jayden and Jodell, Jocelyn, Brian, Dennis Jr. and Dominique, EVHS Tennis Team, EVHS Lady Sundevils as well as all family and friends. The family of Abigail Danielle Rodarte has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
