Chris Towles

CHRIS TOWLES, 40, a resident of Cuarteles, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 17, 2018. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arsenio and Mary Martinez; paternal grandparents, William and Sinforosa Towles; first wife, Lowena Towles; uncles, Gilbert and Roy Towles, Eddie, Johnny, Arsenio, Jr., Gerald and Benny Martinez. Chris was a loving person who loved his family dearly. He is remembered for the way he touched everyone he met with his big heart and unforgettable laugh. He was a comedian and was always teasing and joking with friends and family. He enjoyed being outdoors and going to concerts, spending time with his children and family. He was a great Steelers fan. He had an infectious laugh and smile that will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Towles is survived by his wife, Judy Roybal; children, Ethan and Acelynn Towles; parents, Earl and Lina Towles; sisters, Lisa Towles and Helen Campion (Ryan); step-sons, Julian and Jordan Bourguet; in-laws, Albert and Dolores Roybal; brothers-in-law, Daniel Lopez, Albert Roybal (Phadra), Bryant Roybal (Debbie) and Carl Roybal; special close friend he considered a brother, Javier Alarid; nieces and nephews, Gabriel Garcia, Rayne Serrano, Jolene and Gerald Campion; special people in his life, Elaine and Colleen Filbert; special aunts and uncles, Maggie and Lloyd Vigil, Virginia Martinez, Ramon and Steven Martinez, Joseph and Debbie Martinez, Judy and Tony Martinez, Danny and Geri Towles, Adam and Amy Towles, Loretta Towles, Stacy Towles, Sandra Sedillo, Angie Sena, Douglas Briggs, Diane Lytle and many other cousins, relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada with the Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Javier Alarid, Ryan Campion, Daniel Towles, Ethan Towles, Brady Blue and Steven “Scuba” Maez. Honorary pallbearers named will be, Acelynn Towles, Gabriel Garcia, Rayne Serrano, Jolene and Gerald Campion, Julian and Jordan Bourguet. The family of Chris Towles has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
